Kadam rasaul mosque is another important architecture in gaur malda. This however has more significance than the other structures as inside the dome lies a black stone which bears the footprints of the Prophet himself or at least that's what is said there. This black stone is being worshipped by Muslims.

seems odd to rate this site in isolation as if you're visiting Gaur then you'll want to visit the other nearby sites including the Gumti gate, Firoz minar tower and the Qadam Rasul mosque all of which have been well excavated. Collectively the sites are peaceful and a welcome respite from the nearby towns. Beware though as the border with... More

First of the many mosques I visited in Malda. It was lovely, beautiful and serene. Luckily for me, it was not crowded that day and I could enjoy my time thoroughly

It is a misnomer to call this a mosque, in actuality is a building to contain the prophet's foot prints in stone said to have been brought by a saint from Arabia. The building has a central square room with a wide verandah. The eastern facade is highly decorated. The central room is covered by a single dome, crowned with... More

A wonderful old mosque (16th century) in Bengali style (red-brick walls and arches, gray dome and minarets) in the middle of a peaceful and well-kept garden. The caretaker will approach you and show you the black stone with the foot sign left by Prophet Muhammad.

The four corners have towers built of black stone with the spires having intricate designs. It was built by Sultan Nasiruddun Nusrat Shah in 1530 A.D.The mosque contains the... More
