We booked on line via Direct ferries which saved us money, turned up, got on and a stress free ride. 30 minutes later we arrived in Formentera. We hired a car for the day there, which in turn saved us 40 euros rather than taking our own car across . Good I'd use them again

We travelled to Formentera and back in October. We bought the one day OPEN tickets online, which gave us the option to choose from any of the ferries going to Formentera and back (there is a boat going every hour or more often). Compared to the other ferry companies, our boat was the fastest. We left the port as the last and arrived as the first. They have several boat types, so not all of them gives you the option to enjoy the trip outside in the open space, but the boats are nice, clean and comfy.…

On the time table, there is a ferry at 20.00. We arrived at 19.50 and they said the ferry is full, we are departing and smiling to us. No more explanation. We( about 30 of us) came to their office to ask for another ferry and they said NO. Terrible service.

Choose another company such as Trasmapi and buy the ticket at the port, not before. The Mediterranea Pitiusa will not let you make time changes, will not accept e-tickets and have the audacity to charge you 5 euro to "print" your online confirmation. So much for "first world"!
