It's a nice spot to go and relax but it isn't the best beach on the Island which is why I gave it the 4 stars. If you wanted to get a snack or a drink you will need to walk about 5-7 minutes to...More

It is a bit of a climb down to the beach and back. If it looks too difficult you can see the beauty from the top of the mountain. We did not swim and few people were in the water.

The beach is red because the cliff behind it has red rocks - ferrous rich rocks. It is very difficult to get to and it's very narrow and not at all long. Many people get there by boat. I decided not to go down to...More

Hard to get to. Hard to park. Hard hike to beach. Once you are there ? It's red pebble beach. No real services. Wall to wall people. Go to Red Beach in Maui for better experience!

We did the drive then the walk and once we got to Red Beach it was roped off at the water. No one was in the water and not sure why it was roped off. We could walk and take pictures that was it. Plus,...More

This is a neat place to drive by, but the actual beach isn't that great. Come, grab some photos and then move on to nicer spots.

I went to Red beach by bike, but I would definitely recommend that if you are to visit, do it from a boat. The walk from the car park is a little unsafe, many people stumbling over loose rocks. If you are unsteady on your...More

We visited on a beautiful, clear day. A bit of a hike over a rocky hill and uneven terrain. The view from the top in interesting but not spectacular. A sliver of a rocky orangey beach down below. Did not live up to the hype....More

It may look amazing but I felt I was on a tourist tram track - serves us right for being there mid-August. We managed to park fairly closely but the closest car park was jam-packed and difficult to get back out. We followed the path...More

I don't know about public transport as we hired a quad bike which is really popular on the island (about €90 per day) There's a great falafel place in Fira not far from bus station. Great for lunch :)
