The smallest lake in the whole Plitvice Jezera park, Vir is in the Upper Lakes and therefore most easily accessed by entering at Gate 2.

Vir jezero is one of the Upper Plitvice Lakes in the Plitvice Lakes National Park. The German name is "Strudel-See" (swirl lake) because the water in the middle of the lake is said to flow in a whirlpool shape. It is the smallest lake in the park and is located west of Galovac Lake.
