This is the longest beach in southern Portugal (think it's ~ 7 km long), and the tide effects, combined with the sunrise or sunset lighting translate dreams to reality for any photography enthusiast. A must-see item if you're travelling in south Portugal, all-year-round.

the parking area is to the mid/south side of the beach and runs close to the edge. In places you can get to the edge, but it is bare earth, no boardwalk
