A very attractive beach with the colours of the cliffs contrasting with the sands, blue skies and seas. Its an interesting contrast to the golden cliffs and sea stacks of other areas of the Algarve. It reminded me of some remote beaches I'd been to in Western Australia, but here it has resorts around so is much more easily accessed. On a sunny and windless winter's day it was warm enough for the kids to play in the sea, they enjoyed the waves (which may be too rough for younger kids). You can go strolling for some distance in either distance, and at the western end continue on to Olhos de Agua either by hopping rocks at low tide or on pathways above the beaches and rocks at high tide.

Absolutely beautiful beach. We visited in July and it was never too busy, we loved walking along the waters edge, so peaceful and the cliffs behind the beach are amazing. We loved it so much that we are visiting again in September this year. The best beach we have ever visited.

For me, it is one of the best beaches in the world, yes! I've known this beach for years, cliffs in a natural state, clean water, quality tourism, wonderful! I hope they don't ruin it with the current plans to install a desalination plant on this beach! :(

Beautiful and relaxing. Good access with wooden stairs and benches along the way but you need to have reasonable mobility and strength. There are reasonable priced loungers with umbrellas for rent at the bottom of the stairs if you don't want to carry yours down.

This is a fabulous beach with soft sand and interesting rock pools at low tide. Plenty of deck chairs and umbrellas for 20€ a day (2 bed and Brolly). There is also a Massage hut near the entrance to the beach (50€ full body) and it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. The O Golfinho restaurant serves snacks and meals, and I’d definitely recommend the strawberry or mango daiquiri… well worth a visit.

Starting from Ohlos de Agua the beach is several kilometers long. A little crowded near the access points but very easy to be very quiet by moving away a little. Allows you to make a 15km round trip while walking on the sand. Very beautiful colors thanks to the cliff which dominates the beach. Several accesses by stairs with parking.

The beach is incredible and such friendly people. It wasn't till the second day we noticed the umbrellas to the right for the restaurant and we much preferred there as it was a bit more peaceful. Couldn't ask for more from a beach - wonderful place

This beach stretches for km between the village of Vilamoura and the town of Albufeira, is deep, equipped, with several dining options. The main feature is to have behind a long chain of reddish rocks, eroded by the wind, which are called cliffs, which create a show of colors with the sunset light. Beach not very crowded, also suitable for families.

Parking would be limited on a very busy day. A little trek to the actual beach itself. It’s a little narrow but very pretty beach. Deck chairs and umbrellas can be hired. Avoid all together with an onshore storm wind. Otherwise I would definitely return.

The beach is beautiful, spectacularly golden, very clean and the sea really is crystal clear. We sunbathed without another soul around (it's a really long beach, it goes on for miles) and the kids swam in the sea, bit chilly for me, but I did a paddle. It's close to where we stayed, Aldeia do Golf, and although easy to get on to from the Marina end, there is a quicker route to get directly on to the beach - but the sign is easy to miss, unless you actually stop by the main traffic lights in to Vilamoura and have time to look! It could be much better signposted. Plenty of free parking too and we walked directly on to the boardwalk and beach from the car park.
