The entrance is just 3 euros each and small children don't pay. You have some trails to do inside the garden. One of them takes you to the waterfall. Pay attention to the giant tree before the waterfall.

If you buy your ticket at the monitoring station, you can get access to it and the gardens for 1 euro more per person. We didn’t spend much time in the gardens portion but were able to get a much closer look at the Church...More

This place is by far the worst park/garden I visted in Sao Miguel so far. Extremely badly maintained, nothing to value except the waterfall. But you can only truly see the waterfall if you go beyond a sign that says do it on your own...More
