Psarou beach
About
Nestled in a tiny bay, this small beach is known to have some of the clearest waters and best sand in Mykonos, and for being a spot for celebrity sightings! The beach is sheltered from the summer winds and is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing—there are sun beds and umbrellas that you can rent for the day and a free public free area where you can lay down your beach towel. It gets pretty busy (and slightly more expensive) during summer, so get there early to get a good spot. – Tripadvisor

    Party beach with loud music
This beach was close to our hotel, Petasos in Platis Yialos. There are many sunbeds to rent for a fee. Like any other beach in Greece, sunbeds go from twenty-five to more dollars depending on which row you take. There is a bar on this beach with loud music and many party people. We could hear the loud music from our hotel. Before going to this beach, I recommend you ask questions. Maybe this noisy beach is not for you. Go down the street, Platis Yialos Beach.

    Like walking into a postcard!
We opted to check out this beach when we saw the throngs of people at Agios Ioannis. We found the walking trail easily and when we rounded a curve and got our first look at this idyllic cove, we knew we made the right decision. We found a place in the shade to cool off and ordered refreshing cocktails. We hung out here for a couple of hours and just enjoyed the atmosphere, weather, and beach vibe. There is a helicopter landing pad on the right side of the beach and it was fun to see one come in and drop off some people.

    Magical beach
My absolute favorite beach in Mykonos. We passed through Nammos village which is magical. Then the beach itself so so beautiful. Perfect sand and water and luxurious views. We chose the beach club next to Nammos so the sun beds were only 25 euro in the first row. Amazing music as well. A more high end chill vibe as opposed to the techno crazy party vibe you would get in Paraga or Paradise beach.

    Very hip beach
The beach is very nice with nice marine life to see and also a party if you want to hang out with the hip crowd. There are several eating and lounging restaurants that rent the lounge chairs and feed you. Nammos is the most popular, hip and expensive. You can also go to some of the other ones next door that are nice. We rented the Seabob which was amazing but get ready to spend money. Totally worth it.

Our family purposely arrived 10am to a quiet beach to gain some beach chairs . Offered chairs ranging from euro 150 to 25euro . Happy with the 25euro chairs 👍 lunch was ordered Gyros averaged euro 20 each ( mykonos town 3 euro ) Greek salad 18euro ( mykonos town 6 euro) beers min 10 euro … a day on the beach with modest lunch expect min 50-100 euro per person
Also at least 30 boats incl super yachts spoiling your view … a plus was regular bus service on the half hour …

This is a wonderful beach with the best sand and the clearest water in the region. The water is turquoise color and very clear. There are plenty of sunbeds for rental but there is also a public section, completely free of charge, that you can use.

If you are staying in Platis Gialos (which is the best area in Mykonos to stay) keep in mind that there is a walking path along the beach right after Nissaki hotel that brings you in 5 minutes to Psarou Beach, no need o follow the long and winding Google recommended street.

I would highly recommend a visit to this beach.

I just wanted to make everyone aware of a scam that dk oyster carry out which is to offer a free sun bed for a drink each so he asks if you want a drink you say yes then we got two non alcoholic cocktails and a bottle of water then were horrified to find out our bill was €205 and even had the cheek to give themselves a €25 tip!!! You could say it’s our own fault for not asking to see a menu or asking how much but never did we think it would be €85 a cocktail. Please see dk oyster on trip advisor as unfortunately it’s very common, they need to be stopped!

Another cute bay on the southern coast spoiled by hundreds of sunbeds set so close you cannot move around. Free part is almost non existent, drinks are skyrocking and everything is oriented to Euros.
Otherwise the sea and the bay are beautiful.

This is a wonderful beach with the best sand and the clearest water in the region. The sand is very fine, not like the coarse sand at Platis Gialos or even worse at the Paradise Beach. The water is turquoise color and very clear. You don't need anything else on a hot, torrid day of summer like we had.
People usually confuse Psarou Beach with Nammos Beach Club and I understand their frustration over the super expensive sun beds and drinks that Nammos offer. But there are other restaurants at the other end of the beach, more reasonably priced and also a public section, completely free of charge, that you can use.
Also, if you stay at one of the hotels in Platis Gialos, keep in mind that there is a walking path along the beach right after Nissaki hotel that brings you in 5 minutes to Psarou Beach, no need o follow the long and winding Google recommended street.
