We didn"t know of it but accudentalky took a wrong turn and were surprised by the size and content of a village. A 1 0 euros ticket includes a drink so we think this is good valute for moneyVisited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten October 9, 2023
- romerosabine0Devon, United Kingdom34 contributionsBeautiful placeUnfortunately it wasn't easy to find. After 3 attempts we finally got there. Yes €10 but we had a free beer. We really enjoyed it especially after watching...guess what... The Durrells 😍. It is a replica but it is beautiful. Sometimes it is the little and beautiful things you have to look out for.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten October 21, 2023
- Spencer C49 contributionsUnderstated locationVisited this after finding it on the internet. Only found it after seeing James Bond and the Durrell’s were both filmed here Unless you researched it you wouldn’t know though. There is no info at the village about these facts Price is 20E per couple which is expensive however you get a free drink off the menu, some alcoholic at the bar. So price overall is worth it Nice little old village, but needs promoting over its passed more as feel this will bring more persons inVisited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten May 15, 2024
- steve hHoneybourne, United Kingdom3 contributionsAmazing staffLovely place with such lovely staff. Our mother fainted and the way Valia and her staff helped us was second to none. It was as though we were with our own family. Testament to the warmth of the Greek people. Thank you for helping us and as Durrells fans we will be back ❤️Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten July 10, 2024
- JMCCounty Clare, Ireland4 contributionsNice place for a short visit.A nice place to visit but not a lot to see - a very pleasant museum above the cafe and the staff are very nice and helpful. I was using puplic transport so be warned - this is not very well served on a Saturday. I got the No. 4 bus in the morning from Saroko Squarebut the next bus back to Corfu town was not scheduled until after 4.00 pm. So I took a chance and walked to the coast road to catch the more frequent No. 7. About 30 mins walk and it worked out fine...Visited July 2024Travelled soloWritten July 30, 2024

I mean... there was nothing to do there. We paid 10 euros for entrance each that we could use later at the bar (very limited options). The place looked empty, like a ghost town. The museum is a bunch of random stuff put together in like 3 rooms. The buildings look nice but it's all a replica. Overall, not really worth it.

Danilia Village is a replica of a Corfiot village from the pre-war years. The entrance fee is €10. With the receipt you receive, you can order drinks in the cafe there (unfortunately, cakes or small snacks are not available). It is a small complex, but well worth seeing. We recommend visiting during the week in the morning. It is still pleasantly cool and not too crowded. There is plenty of parking. A visit is worthwhile.

Gorgeous gem, my husband said it looked staged in places but then I did say its a film set of a 1930s Greek village.
I loved it. You pay E10 for entry for adults and hey a free drink at the cafeteria with it, we were also given a biscuit and later a local pastry.
Really interesting and lots of historical artifacts. I recognised some bits from The Durrels.

It’s closed but we still got in! After a two hour search back and forth on roads, passing it several time we took a chance and passed through the scaffolded gates. This has been used as the set for the Durrells in Corfu and looks completely abandoned but maybe coming back to life? A nice little girl and her elderly grandfather let us through the gates for our own private look around. All the shops are empty but still a great find and glad we persisted. You won’t find this on your GPS. Proves that info found online needs to be verified.

Very pretty and atmospheric place to spend an hour looking round. The small museum is very interesting. It was only five minutes in a taxi from our apartment in Gouvia and cost 20 euros each way. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful and well kept old village that was used as the set for The Durrels. If you like old houses and antiques, it's a lovely place to wander around. Beautifully restored and looked after. We came here on a quiet day (in October) and were pretty much the only people. It was absolutely lovely. They have a small shop where we bought some water, there is a cafe and restaurant and the loos were very clean.

Does anyone know what days the village is open and can you just turn up and pay to get in. Or do you have to be part of a tour? I can't find anywhere to book tickets for either. Hoping to go this week. Thank you

Hello, is it possible to visit a village as a tourist with our guiding group or be a guest of some hotels? Just pay a ticket and have individual visits… On reviews, I saw that Thursday are non working day, but on official site is opposite information. Thanks in advance for information.
