We honestly didn't love the place as a whole, but the setup they have to watch hummingbirds is great. $30 per person (cash only) is way high for what it is, though. It's not that hard to find, just keep driving and follow the signs. Parking is limited. We managed to see birds and some monkeys, but we'd seen those... More

We enjoyed 2 days exploring soberina national park, and when we came to the discovery centre we were more than pleased to see what was around. On arrival we paid $30, the pipeline walk itself you can do freely the track is on the right and you don't need to pay to do this. (Along that walk we seen caiman... More

We are so happy we made the trip to Soberania National Park, and in particular to Panama Rainforest Discovery Center. We left Panama City at 6am and arrived in the park just after 7am, but it took us awhile to find the Discovery Center as our rental car GPS was useless. If you are coming from Panama City, drive into... More

What a wonderful experience. If you are a birder you don't want to miss this. Our guide was from Canopy towers, where we are staying, but there are several. Use them and their expertise. This place gives you the opportunity to see animals in the canapoy from a 100 ft tower, and birds on the water at a lake. They... More

Accompanied by a guide so didn't have the problems others have reported as far as finding it or getting a ticket. The hummingbird feeders were great - in addition to all the other birds we saw from the deck of the center. And the staff person went out of her way to help us spot and identify birds.

Only problem: Not enough signals in the way. So, we got lost a few times trying to get there. After arriving, the experience was so good and the staff was really nice and helpful. The tracking took us about 3 hours in total.

We arrived at 9:30 as a group of 4 and enjoyed the walks, the hummingbirds and the canopy platform. We saw howler monkeys but not many birds besides a mot mot and hummingbirds but we were late arriving. We did think the price was high but it was fun.

First time in 60 years I've been in a rainforest and well worth the long trip from the UK just to have been there. Amazing place with the feeling of an untamed area which has had no human interference other than to make life a bit easier to walk around and to appreciate the animals and bird life. The 100...
