This was a really good way to see the local monkeys and birding. OK its a bit manufactured when the guides draw up and throw grapes on the deck to attract the monkeys. But hey we saw and enjoyed them!

We loved this place, we went twice to the oil pipeline road and saw so many amazing birds ourselves without needing bird guides and we also saw other wildlife such as ant eater. The tower was closed the first time we went, so we went...More

We visited 3 days ago, on 7 January 2016, and nearly all was closed for repairs. We couldn't go to the visitors centre, the hummingbirds, or the main loop track. They didn't tell us this until AFTER we had paid the US$20 per person entry...More

I'm afraid the title is the only positive. It consists of a bit of a walk not really much to see (unfortunately I feel because I've been to Costa Rica)

Go early morning. We saw toucan, humming birds, parrots, deer, howler monkeys, and lots of other animals I can't remember the local names of.

We were the only ones there -- had the place to ourselves. The lady at the front gate was super friendly and was able to spot howling monkeys a mile away! I was very impressed. Quite a serene place.

We arrived in the morning with the staff, before the sun had come up. It is an easy walk to the platform. The climb to the top may be a problem for people who struggle with climbing stairs. We sat on the platform for two...More

There is really only one reason to travel Panama and that is nature. The country is like Costa Rica, without the tourists (Boquete and Bocas the exceptions). The PRDC is a great examplle of low-impact biodiversity "exposure" that is particularly good for birders. Yes, you...More
