Was recommended by a local friend and we were not disappointed! Take a taxi (or uber) to the Gamboa Resort and pay for the next boat ride. We had to wait 1:30 as the previous boat had just left. The tour guide speaks perfect English...More

After a snack at the Gamboa Rain Forest Resort (which consisted of fried chicken fingers, fried cheese sticks, and french fries as there is not a big selection), we headed to our launch. The boat was comfortable and not too crowded although there were other...More

This huge complex, once the staff housing for people working on the Panama Canal is just 1/2 mile from the canal and over looking the Charges River. The grounds are well maintained and the trees full of pink faced parrots, motmots, chachalacas and hundreds of...More

This was a relaxing boat ride. The guide tells you about the scenery and history of the river and canal. We saw monkeys, sloughs and birds.

Ok trip, nothing crazy. We booked a 1 hour trip. They take you to see monkeys and that's pretty much it. If I could redo it I would try to book a longer trip where you could take it slow and maybe see if you...More

I saw half dozen animals with this tour. Crocodile, Monkey (3 types), lizards, and a bird that I cannot remember the name. Try to get the seat that is not in the middle.

Small boat, about 2 dozen guests. When animals are spotted, captain does a great job moving the boat so all get a chance to view and take pictures. Not a long ride - maybe 1.5 hours - but that is plenty.

No need for a half or full day tour. You see everything you need to see in the hour and a half tour bring bug spray

We went to Panama for our honeymoon. This was one of the excursions we did. The boat ride takes you on part of the canal. We saw a lot of monkeys and one even jumped on our boat. The only thing that was a little...More

We went to Gamboa to visit the Embera Village and the conservation center. The rooms were large and each had a hammock on the balcony. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was also very large. The swimming pool is huge and felt wonderful....More

We stayed at the Gamboa Resort and they had a desk there with various tours that you could take. We did all of our tours through that desk. Perhaps if you contact the resort, they can help you out.

Sorry, I can't remember either. I don't remember the cost being high enough to make me think it was unreasonable though. And totally worth the memories... Enjoy!
