We stopped at this lovely location as part of a sightseeing tour by bus organized by the Tourist information Center of Reims and that also included a visit to the Jorez Le Brun wineyard in Ludes . Le Moulin de Verzenay is owned by Mumm and is not opened to the public in general but can be rented for special occasions . The view over the valley is great , the moulin itself is in mint condition and one particularity is the presence of a big '' Faux de Verez '' , a very unique tree found in the Foret Domaniale of Verez nearby . An interesting stop on the Champagne Route !

The views from this spot over the surrounding vineyards is fabulous. The mill was used by the Allies during both world wars.

A really good spot to stop on a cycle tour to look out over the vineyards of Mailly and Vezenay. Perfect photo opportunity.

Now owned by Mumm champagne and close to ordinary visitors, open only to "honoured guests". But hey ho. The site was an important observation post on both wars and has, not surprisingly, tremendous views. Don't drive past, stop for a minute or two and appreciate them.
