Great hike! The falls weren’t as big as I’d hoped but it’s been a very dry season this year. Still beautiful though.

Beautiful Waterfall, great hike but keep in mind your physical strength.  The time that I went with my friends, it had rained a lot and we had to walk on slippery rocks and very muddy roads.  The hike could be very challenging for some.  Nevertheless, the reward at the end of the road was fantastic.  Beautiful time at the waterfall.

Excellent hike! The path was very slippery: wear boots! And a bathing suit under your clothes. This hike is for those who are fit and fairly agile. We are sixty-ish but fit and found it to be challenging but enjoyable.

Took about an hour through the rainforest to reach the waterfall. The path runs along the stream with frequent views to the stream, cascades and the "Lata" (fish trap) channel. For the bold (or the young) the channel forms a natural slide into a beautiful tranquil pool surrounded by forest. There are rough rocks on the sides and the distinct possibility of scrapes- so we didn't go down the slide; however the pool at the base was most inviting. Had we not disrobed to swim in the upper waterfall, and redressed, I would have preferred a dip in the lower pool.

We continued up about 40 minutes to the upper falls. We were glad to have a local guide with us to lead the way across the safest path. We arrived at the upper falls, took off our boots and outer gear over our bathing suits and jumped in for a delightful cool dip.

For those with knee issues, the return was a bit more difficult. All in all terrific morning and we would happily repeat the visit.

There is a hike around 30 minutes that’s totally worth it, cause later you can take a dip in a natural pool made from the waterfall water, the entrance cost 1,50 for nationals, bring water for the hike and a snack for after

The most beautiful place on earth! It was truly like being in the Garden of Eden. The entire 45 minute hike was just breathtaking. Rubber boots are highly recommended if there has been a lot of rain and be careful because it can also be a bit slippery if muddy. Stay extra quiet because you will see the metallic blue Morpho butterflies and hummingbirds. It is not an super easy hike, but once you get there take a most refreshing dip in the pool under the waterfall. You will be so glad you did!

watch out, the place closes at 4pm ! we arrived there at 3.30pm and were told that it was too late to go on the trail as it takes about 90min to go to the 2 waterfalls and back.
But they still let us go have a swim in the river and natural pool just near the entrance.
Admission is 2$

We walked from Tena and it took us 3h to get there, I wouldn't recommend it, a taxi back was 5$.

45min walk, with boots if recently rained and outcome is just magic. Now it is $2 but you cannot get lost in the trail.

This was one of my favorite day trips from Misahualli. For .50 you can catch a bus to the entrance to the falls. Exit bus, right. Walk about 300 yards to entrance. $2. If you hire a guide. About $30. There are three falls (lower, mid and upper). Lots of wonderful butterflies, walking sticks and other insects. No mosquitos. About an hour to top (leisurely walk). Don't go after heavy rain-very slippery.

The waterfalls are beautiful and the walk is scenic and peaceful. The paths were quite slippery and muddy and you will definitely be sweating by the time you reach the main waterfall! We took a swim in the main waterfall which was an incredible experience, highly recommend, though the first waterfall at the very beginning has a larger area to swim in and is more peaceful.
