Minor facilities and chair rentals need to be made in advance but totally worth it. Beach closes at 5 pm. No filter on my pics!

We ate at a place called Tavernetta (I think) in Scopello on some local recommendation and it proved to be a winner.

It's a beautifull setting to definitly not miss if you are in the neighbourhood, but you have to pay an entrance of 4 euro for a place that is still a bit crowded, less than normal italian beaches, but still.

Fishing complex turned fancy condos for the rich--a bit of the history is left for you to see for a 4 euro ticket.

It's OK to come from Scopello and visit the Bay and it's history though it's quite touristic. Absolutely amazing to rent a boat at Castellammare and come here from the water.

Crystal clear swimming beach. Quite a long walk from parking area. The tonnara consists of vintage tuna boats and equipment stored in a large open air 3 bay building. There may be more to it, but we wanted to swim. Gorgeous little cove similar to...More
