The place is spectacularly beautiful and the food is exquisite.
But the service experience was below my expectations. Terrible.
This adds to the fact that there is a terrible problem with bees. We were a table of 7 people, between us, a baby and a person allergic to bee stings. As the food arrived, all the dishes and around the table were bees everywhere. To the point that we had to leave the table without consuming food. Because the bees were in all the food.
All the waiters, including the one who served our table, stood out from what was happening and did nothing to remedy the situation. No manager approached us to address this unpleasant situation.
For the baby, we asked three different employees for a high chair. The host: "ask your waiter", the bus boy: "I'm not your waiter." The waiter: seeing the baby did not offer the chair. Another waiter was the one who noticed and brought it.
If it is because of the waiter who served us, I recommend an updated table service training that is according to create unforgettable and beautiful memories in your guests. With all this, believe me that the memory that we carry is not to return and not to recommend.

We were excited to visit a coffee plantation and observe first hand how coffee is grown in Puerto Rico. The Hacienda is very beautiful and is located in the mountainous region of San Lorenzo. We had scheduled a tour for 10 am and it started promptly on time with a group of about 20-25 people. The reason for rating this tour 3 stars is because we saw nothing up close as to how coffee is grown, but instead listened to a long and tedious talk about the history of coffee making. We walked up several rather steep hills at different times but the talking continued on and on. There was never an opportunity to observe a coffee plant or look at things up close—just the continued talking with little concern for the comfort of the people on the tour who stood in the hot sun for one hour and 20 minutes. Why all the walking and climbing if there was nothing to show us. We may as well have been sitting in a lecture hall. The only thing we saw were the idle machines that process the beans. It would improve the tour to do less talking and provide more hands-on experiences. At the end, we were given one tiny shot of coffee and still the talking continued.

What an exceptional treat. A Hidden gem up in the mountains, this place takes you from the hustle and bustle of the city to a much quiet and calmer environment. Trisha, the tour guide, was not only exceptionally knowledgeable, but her whit and sense of humor made tour extremely entertaining. The coffee shop what’s outstanding, as well as the coffee. The various farm animals roaming around where the finishing touches. Will definitely come back.

What a spectacular place to visit for coffee for anyone who loves coffee and even aficionados. This 5-star hacienda offers a great experience. I recommend the professionally guided tour where they will educate you on what is called "Specialty" coffee. You can enjoy lunch there and purchase specialty coffee which can be brought back to the mainland. A must while visiting the Island.

We visited Hacienda Muñoz only to take the plantation tour. I cannot give you an opinion about the restaurant or the coffee bar because we didn’t visit them.
The tour lasts about 1h where the tour guide (Luis) explained us all about the coffee: from the seed to the cup.
The tour takes place in the beautiful grounds, among the coffee plants and other trees. The views are breathtaking and all the explanations really interesting. They show you the harvesting, the separation and the roasting. The tour finishes with a coffee taste, which we thought it was a really sweet ending.
We totally recommend the visit to this little gem so close to San Juan.

Hacienda Munoz was amazing. Our tour guide Luis was very kind and knowledgeable about coffee. Husband and I loved trying the coffee, the beautiful sights of the plants and flowers and learning about the details of the process from plantation to table. We ordered amazing sandwiches made by Fernando who also helped us get home since we got to hacienda by Uber. Uber doesn’t take you back to San Juan and taxi will charge double. Please rent a car when you come here since you may be stranded! The employees were kind enough to have helped us get home safely without having taken the taxi.

I took the tour and tasted coffee but did not have lunch at the restaurant. The grounds and buildings were immaculate and my tour group had about a dozen people total. Great overview of the history of coffee in PR. The walking tour takes you up a hillside with coffee plants and while it wasn’t overly strenuous, I’m not sure I’d do the full tour with elderly parents or those with different mobility needs. Tours are offered in English and Spanish, I took the Spanish version to brush up on my language skills and my tour guide would check in from time to time to make sure I was keeping up and clarify anything needed (much appreciated). I bought some coffee for brewing back home, which I am drinking while writing this. Many thanks to the staff at Hacienda Muñoz!

Hello. From the place I have to accept that it is a beautiful place and if you like nature even more. But I have to rate the service as Terrible. I have to say that on a Saturday, a day that is generally busy, we were apparently a novice waiter, and his service was bad. Now that is not the fault of the boy, the administration should not let him go alone to attend without the necessary experience. You go to a coffee plantation to find good coffee and an exquisite experience to start the morning, because I have to say that the coffee is very below average. I am a coffee consumer and I have to tell you that in neighboring places the coffee is 500% better. A disappointment. Another example of bad service, my brother-in-law asked for 2 special treatment, to use another type of milk, oatmeal, almond or something and there was none. Additionally, he cannot eat egg yolks and asked for scrambled only white, the manager came to say that they worked with egg from boxes and they did not have eggs to do so. Please, I don't expect that from Subway, but from a brunch spot? how do they make fried eggs? In short, the overall experience is very bad or low. My review is constructive criticism, because from where they are they have every opportunity to improve. Thanks.

Today I went to Hacienda Muñoz, Doppio Coffee Bar for a brunch with a friend and I ordered “French Toast”… the worst in my life. Bad, bad, bad…I had high expectations but they was dry, cold and bad…horrible and not only that, the two slices of ham that were served to me were also cold. I don't visit them again 😡😡😡

Out of the way, an otherwise average outing, a nice enough area spoiled by the treatment at the coffee bar. An establishment of this nature should properly train, screen employees before they let them loose to interact with the public. Ohhh, and somebody help the poor mangy dog in the parking lot, get the poor thing to vet, and feed it.
