Great beach for windsurfing, kiting and for kids. All three zones are well separated. There is not much sand for kinda to play with on the shore. But the see is so nice and shallow....one big yack is brown algae on the beach and the smell they cause when rotting. If you have unstable stomach don’t go there.

Very nice walk out to sea it's so flat you can keep going for a good long while. Just follow the buoys and the gap in the seaweed. We were there on a very windy day so it was a bit of an effort. The kite surfers were in paradise but it was not nice to sit on the beach with the wind in full face. I'm guessing it's a windy spot on a regular basis?

Great for kiteboarding. If you're comfortable going upwind you can kite several kilometers on flat water along the coast as the wind is predominantly straight onshore.
For non-kiteboarders there are better places on the island.
4 stars for the kiteboarding only.

Wonderful hidden treasure.
This is a beach where you can walk into the sea for at least 300 m with water to the waist. This is very relaxing and fantastic with young children.
The waves are minimal.
A great spot for kite surfers, windsurfer, etc..
There is a good separation between bathers and surfers.

We visited a number of Caribbean beaches on Martinique and wanted to go to an Atlantic beach. We randomly picked this beach without doing any research on it. What a fantastic find! This is the exact opposite of what you expect with the Atlantic ocean which would be mainly waves. I don't know what causes this but basically this beach has a massively long sand reef that stretches from the beach to 400 meters or so out to the ocean. It provides a large swath of clear blue warm ankle to knee deep water. It is the most amazing thing I have seen at a beach.
The wind is strong but not bothersome. The kite surfers are wildly entertaining to watch.
The beach has plenty of shade although not necessarily along the beach - it's more like a park with lots of grassy areas and trees. The actual beach part is not well shaded. But with the water being so shallow it's great to just laze about the water - it's like one massive warm bath.
There are lots of food options along the beach road. We were there on Easter Monday (a holiday) and there was a live band which added to the festive atmosphere. The beach seemed popular with the locals.
The only knock on the beach is the sand which is a bit gritty. There is pay parking but you can park along the road for free (and walk a bit farther than from the paid parking lot).
This is a great beach to just spend the day at. Fun and relaxing for all.

I had never seen so many kites. Wow!
There were people swimming in the ocean. Others were fishing in the ocean.
There were also a lot of boats.
That was quite unique.
A must see!

We drove to this beach with my friend and before we reached the destination became a terrible smell of rodden eggs. When we got to the beach it was full of seaweed and therefore unusable. There were some people kiting but i wouldn't go near the water. There were also some restaraunts on the beach but we couldn't stay because of the smell. Hope they get rid of the seaweed someday.

We didn't try the parasailing ourselves, but watched old and young having s blast! Some of them were quite skilled. The water is shallow and perfect for this sport. I think my young adult daughter will want to try it when she comes.
There were seniors and families laying out in the beach as well, or just enjoying the water. The Atlantic Ocean looks turquoise in the shallows, changing to blue where it is deeper.
Plus, one of the best restaurants we have found on Martinique is right on the beach - Le Toucan!

Excellent place to stay if you kite and windsurf. The beach is also very calm for young kids. There are shops and restaurants making it easy to stay for the day. Laid back and quiet area. Also possible to hike nearby.

Very close to our hotel and a little seaweed, but it's seasonal. Clean overall and clear water. Water is only 18" deep for about 1-1.4 miles out. Not swimmable, but great for getting feet wet. Tons of kite surfers, windsurfers and surfing around the cove. Beautiful spot to end the day. The kits at sunset are a must. So beautiful.
