It is very possible to visit Cotopaxi without any guide or pre-planning, but my girlfriend and I really wanted to mountain bike down the volcano so we opted to go with Tierra Zero Tours. We at first tried to go with the famous Biking Dutchman, but since we weren't in Quito it was not very convenient. Enter Tierra Zero Tours.... More

We had a great time with Tierra Zero Tours. The guide was very experienced and made us feel safe. They also provided us with the necessary equipment. All for a good price!

We scheduled a Saquisili Market and Cotopaxi hike tour with Guillermo. We had a flight out of Latacunga scheduled for the next day, and all flights were cancelled that day. Yikes! We needed to get to Guayaquil to meet our Galapagos cruise group. Guillermo took us to the airport and helped reschedule our flight, then brought us to the market... More

Went on a tour to the Thursday morning market in Saquisili and then to the base of Cotopaxi. We did a short hike near Cotopaxi and went to a museum about the volcano in the area. Got some great pictures, although the museum wasn't too inspiring. Overall we thought the tour was a bit overpriced however it was an enjoyable... More

We paid for a tour of Cotopaxi, which involved driving up to look at it from afar (it was slightly overcast, so didn't get a great view of it), walking around a pond, and going to a really poor quality museum (for example, parts of the exhibits were missing). We stopped at Saquisili's Thursday morning market on the way, which... More

Now you can not do much in the Cotopaxi National Park is not possible to climb to the shelter, glacier or the summit, the eruptive state of the volcano, but paying $ 20 for a tour that included an Indian market, a group of 6 people, and two vehicles for the entire group, I think you got much for just... I climbed volcan Cotopaxi with Tierra Zero Tours and found that the service was excellent. Guillermo was very helpful and the equipment provided was all in good condition and we checked it out the previous day to ensure everything was correct. The guide he provided us with was experienced, motivated and very knowledgable about the mountain. We had a great... More

Poor guide spoiled my expensive trip to Chimborazo through this company. The guides name was "Milton" but is more popularly known as "Nieto" (61 years old and lives in Banos) was a fit and skilled guide but unfortunately shared similar tendencies that match many other mountaineer guide reviews. As widely reported with other guides, "Milton/ Nieto" was determined to complete... More

Hi Alex Donaldson, I do not understand your opinion against Tierra Zero Tours, myself will provide the phone number of mountain guide, I have not sold Chimborazo Climbing, and pay $ 250 for your own, it was a gift for you get the summit even more, no person walks from 8 pm, Niato and I do not understand your complaint,... We went on three with Tierra Zero Tours. Lake Quilotoa, Cotopaxi and Cuyabeno National Park. Vini, our guide to the Lake and Cotopaxi was very nice, funny and thoughtful. After two tours to Quilotoa and Cotopaxi, We decided to go Ecuadorian Amazon with Tierra Zero Tours because we knew Guillermo to be very reliable. He gave us a great recommendation... More

The agency was good but I think like all the others. But be aware climbing the Cotopaxi is not for beginners even with a good physical conditions. You need know how to use ice climbing equipment. Nobody shows me. And the summit is really high. The night before is really cold. Check your sleeping bag if is good before. And... More
