Reserve yourselves private local guide to gain full experience. Children as well enjoyed it as we adapted maybe plain information to lovely fairy tales thanks to local guide.

We had Salona to ourselves - a short bus ride from Split. Weather wonderful and we all felt so peaceful there and breathed in the antiquity. Remarkable ruins dating back to Roman times and the vegetation within was gorgeous. Not to be missed

If only the rocks could speak, but they don't - so to best appreciate this site, as in most other sites around Split (and probably Croatia), best come armed with foreknowledge or with a guide - the tourism board (if it exists) does not do...More
