A super safe area with stunning beach and lagoon, surrounded by the Tsitsikamma forest. Trails to do through SA's best forest areas! Braai facilities on the beach! We stayed Oupa Daan cottage, and it was fantastic! Well equipped with a real feel of the forest near you. We even saw great birds from our stoep, like the Knysna loerie . 500m from the beach!

On this gorgeous beach you forget that you are in such a dangerous and unequal country. I walked in the river till it hit the sea. Superb and rare experience.

Walking onto this beach after a tough 5 day hike, we were absorbed by serenity; nature in her calm and peaceful smiling state

A broad, long beach, great for exercising and relaxing. Listen to the sand as you walk; apparently it squeaks.

We visited Nature's Valley beach while hiking the Grootrivier trial, which starts near Nature's Valley Rest Camp. The circular hike of approximately 6km is wonderful, starting off in the forest before coming to a relatively easy river crossing (shoes off, trousers rolled up and about 30m of crossing - there is a chain rope to help if you need it - lots of fun) before arriving on the beach and heading back to the rest camp.

The beach itself is rugged, long and beautiful with a backdrop of the cliffs, woods and rocks. There's a lovely little lagoon too. The beach was being used by plenty of families when we visited and looks like a really relaxed place to spend the day. The hike itself was superb and highly recommended.

The weather was not kind to us on our visit to Nature's Valley as it poured with (much needed) rain on & of all day. We managed to do a short walk to The Point which is off to the left hand side of the beach. There were dolphins cavorting in the sea, the beach is pristine & the walk up fairly steep incline gives one a fantastic view of the whole Blue Flag beach It is the very last bit of the Otter Trail. In the afternoon we did the walk from the Nature's Valley shop area to Salt River look out. Beautiful walk through forests, fairly steep up & down, to the look out point over a secluded beach at Salt River. Unfortunately rain was once agin threatening so we had to trun back.
