We did this adventure on our honeymoon and just loved it! It was a lot of work trekking through but the guides were amazing and helped us along at a pace that suited us. We would totally do it again!

Yes, reef shoes are ideal. They will get FILTHY though. Make sure they have lots of grip or else it can be extremely dangerous. If you have a waterproof head torch take that as well as the supplied ones are very average... More
