The Adventure You've Been Hoping For!! Let yourself be taken on this half day excursion by the river, snaking its way through the dense Vanuatu rainforest. The river has carved out a magnificent gorge, lined with remarkable limestone formations and overhanging supersized ferns and trees. Be serenaded by birds as you float down to the waterfall and spend some time there taking in the natural beauty. Follow the guide on an easy, instructive walk through the lush jungle and finish off with some refreshments (fruit and water). Ready yourself for the infectious laughter and smiles coming from the happiest people on the planet, as we drive passed their villages and gardens on our way to and from Mount Hope. Required are closed (reef)shoes and shorts. Bring camera, towel and change of clothes.

Absolutely magical. The drive there, floating down the canyon and then the waterfalls it is like you have traveled back in time.It is surreal and the scenery is nothing like i have seen before. We are returning in March 2017 and this time i am sharing it with more of my family :)

The trip is about 40 mins from Luganville. There is a lot to see on the way and you will get a glimpse of island life and conditions in the island interior. The track to the falls is well prepared with walkways and well maintained paths. 5-mins to get from carpark to falls. Quite beautiful.

A great half day tour, but is also part of a full day tour from Oyster Island Resort as well. We were picked up from our accommodation and driven to the Mount Hope site. Most of the trip is on a fairly rugged 4WD track so be prepared to get shaken around. Make sure you take reef shoes as the... More

We really enjoyed our day out at Mt Hope waterfall. Swimming through the water is beautiful. Recommended activity while in Santo.

So much fun! Amazing views from underneath the rainforest and very relaxing to be floating down the river. The guys were great guiding us through the water and really made us enjoy the day as much as possible. If I come back to Santo I'll definitely do this again. Safe and fun, all in one.

We loved our trip to Mount Hope. Canyoning down the pristine waterways was adventurous and fun. The waterfall at the end is spectacular and the rain forest walk back to the vehicle was very pretty. A highly recommended day half day trip in Santo

As some who suffers from a bad back and knees this was a great alternative to the millennium caves tour. The guides were fantastic and gave really clear instructions. You started with a very short walk to the river were you could dive in from the bridge or walk down to the edge and just plop in (my choice). The... More

This is a must do trip if you are in the locality. You become totally immersed in the narrow gorge as you float along in fresh mountain water. The gorge has great foliage as well as limestone features along its walls. Like other writers the rocks can be sharp so there is a good chance of a little graze or... More

Rare and unusual experience..... Thank you for sharing your experience of the Mt Hope Waterfall Tour, part of Mt Hope Adventure Tours. Being 'in it' rather than viewing it - what a great description of what the tour is about. Yes, some areas of the tour do require some close encounters with rocks, but as you stated our highly experienced... More
