We visited the beach three times whilst staying at Hinderwell. It's a lovely long stretch of sand which the dog loved and fossil hunting kept the kids amused. A lovely quiet place with gorgeous views. Toilets behind the cafe which is always handy. The coffee...More

My wife and I visited Runswick Bay with our two dogs and it was lovely. We had a very good walk and nearly got caught with the incoming tide! Luckily there was another path. Well worth a visit

Lovely place, unspoiled and quiet. Quite steep to get down and up from the beach so maybe not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The cafe there is lovely if not a little expensive. Watch out for the tide coming in or you will get...More

What a shame, such a beautiful place is a huge dogs toilet. Disgraceful & horrible. Dangerous to get off beach at high tide, easily cut off. Very expensive & limited parking & no other access...terrible for dissabled. Expensive cafe with no consession to vegans...if you...More

Lovely unspoilt bay without the distractions of flashing lights and money traps. Friendly café and two reasonable pubs. Good camp site at the top of the hill. just beware of the steep road on the beach.

Lovely sandy beach and picturesque fishing village. Great to relax. Beach is dog friendly. Limited car parking near the bay.

Not sure, but would say it is not safe as small but very busy beach, with lots of dogs and children milling about

There's a smaller coop 2 miles away in Staithes, a butchers a mile away in Hinderwell that stocks all the necessities..no need to travel all the way to Whitby!
