This is a kind of tour you must do during a journey through South Africa! Soweto has so much history. People are so nice, kids are beautiful and are always smiling! We had a great time, nice ride! Unforgettable !

As a white South African who had grown up under apartheid and now living in the UK, I had never been to Soweto as it was a no-go area previously. Starting at Lebo's backpackers with a traditional "Kota" lunch you cycle through the streets of Orlando west. As I white South African I never thought I'd feel so safe in Soweto. It far exceeded my expectations. The Soweto backpackers is a lively starting point, the guides were well informed, interesting and fun. The bicycles are well maintained.
