Nelson Mandela’s home in South Africa was a bit hard to spot when driving down the road. The house / exhibition was smaller than I expected. You see where Nelson's wife, Winnie, lived when Nelson was imprisoned. Would have been great if there was more...More

Visiting this much cherished site, you realize the fee isn't about a Disneyland experience, it's to support the perputation of this historical site, the employees and the ongoing cost of the site. True, you can view. Going inside gave me a Heart stop to be...More

It was a good stop to see the Nelson and Winnie Mandela house and get a better inside view into their lives and the home where Winnie was under house arrest for so long. The tour is very good at pointing out the history of...More

Not much to see here, just 2 rooms with furniture and some historical photos. Outside on the street there are some nice restaurants and souvenirs shops.

Humbling experience! Although it is a visitors attraction now, original condition of the house still exists. If you visit Soweto/Joburg, this is must!

A privilege to see the humble house of a great human being. Atmosphere spoilt by the commercial activity outside.

Very small house with some treasures from his life before after and during his residency. There is a tour available but your don't need it. I was there for a total of 15 minutes.

We visited the Mandela House on a Sunday, when the Pieterson museum was closed, and it became our primary experience of Soweto. I'll divide this review into two parts: the house itself, and the process of getting in and out of the museum. On its...More
