Tucked away in an isolated region of Italy in the southern Alps, the rental shop is hard to spot, but well worth the visit. Trails are lengthy and well-maintained. Proprietors speak very little English, but I spent a marvelous four hours on trails in meadows...More

Lovely scenic drive and an easy walk (but take walking shoes) through a lovely tranquil forest. Families picnicking with their children on the way in, horse rides, a small hermitage to visit. Keep driving (about 10 more km) to visit the stunning village of Pescocostanzo.

We drove from Sulmona to Pescocostanzo, via Bosco Sant' Antonio. An absolutely, gorgeous and unforgettable forest. You will become immersed in the lovely greenery of this forest wonderland. We drove to Pescocostanzo, stopped, walked around and had lunch at I Tre Frati ristorante.

What a gorgeous little town nestled in the highest mountain top so beautiful and peaceful. We drove through on our way to Naples. We took a slight detour but it was worth it, stop and take it all in. Breathtaking
