We arrived at Port Olry in the late afternoon and the lovely looking bar/restaurant was already closed. There were a lot of tables and loungers along the beach. What a beautiful place to spend a few hours. I noticed that there were also bungalows where you could spend the night - would be great to do that!

If you have the time it is worth the drive up to Port Olry for a swim and a meal on the beach. It is a wonderful experience and the food is great.

Great place for lunch and a swim. We had a bonus of seeing turtles swim past together with lovely soft sand and a beautiful beach.

Beautiful white sandy beach overlooking a few surrounding small Islands. The water is fantastic and after a swim or some snorkeling you can enjoy a nice meal in a local Cafe right at the beach.

Safe sandy beach, good for swimming and sunbathing. Can get a little windy tho. Grab a bite to eat and a cool drink from Chez Louis cafe which is right on the beach.

Port Olry is so beautiful! Incredibly scenic. I recommend if you visit Port Olry to have lunch at the cafe on the beach, the food was so good! I got the vegetarian stir fry, which is one of the best meals I've ever had! The beach its self is quite similar to champagne beach, although there are a few beautiful... More

Being a frequent visitor to Port Olry, it is always breathtaking - I prefer it to Champagne Beach - now with several small local places to eat, it is the perfect way to spend a day. Go for a walk to the spit, swim in the warm, pristine water, enjoy a freshly caught lobster for lunch - what could be... More

1st thing... There are men on the road to Port Olry who demand money for entry. IF your taxi or tour operator tells you you need to pay them this is NOT true... It is not their land (Champagne Beach is however so don't get the 2 confused.) Wonderful beach. We went there on a perfect day and watched the... More

Located at the north end of the East Coast Road, Port Olry is a great place to have lunch, a swim, and relax before returning to Luganville via Champagne Beach. Travellers need to be aware of some landowners along the Coast Road running "checkpoints" where they will demand money....usually around 1000vt (around AU$10). Unfortunately this is often their only source... More

WARNINGS and RECOMMENDATIONS, please read below: I debated giving this 3 stars based on our experience which I've detailed below but Port Olry itself is a really stunning and is in beautiful location. The beach is really amazing, stereotypical South Pacific- white sand, crystal blue water: one of the best beaches in Vanuatu and if you have a chance, walk... More
