Easy walk if you stay on the paths

The place is a flood control area turned into a park, so it is very boggy off the paths after rains. Paths can be smooth or a little rough and are shared with families, dogs and... read more

Nice little day out in the summer for picnic etc kids can run free, car parking around £5 there are some areas where you could probably park for free but it's easier to go to the car park with kids. There's a little train that takes you to a petting area with animals think this cost around £1 per person.... More

Arranged to meet some friends for a dog walk. Although the place is excellent for walking the dogs, the price of car parking made it a place I will only visit occasionally

A nice enough place to walk around, but nothing special, there's very little in the way of signage or information about the site...which may have made it a bit more interesting. The paths are clear and there's decent facilities, but having to pay £5 for a stroll around is too steep. It may be better on a Sunny day.

Ok so the parks are good for kids, you can feed ducks and there is a lovely cafe. You can park for free at beighton enterance. The walk is lovely. There is some very suspicious people walking round there at times. Would not like to go alone. Also there is a little train running through the park this is nice.... More

The place is a flood control area turned into a park, so it is very boggy off the paths after rains. Paths can be smooth or a little rough and are shared with families, dogs and bikes. Space is limited and people good natured because they all share the same space without hassle. If easily annoyed, stay away. There is... More

we regularly visit the park, either to walk around the lakes or to cycle on children friendly, traffic free paths. We also try out water activities in the summer - both my husband and daughter took courses to learn how to sail. and we have spent many afternoons watching jet skis perform and dog shows taking place. Café serves good... More

A very clean and well looked after country park with loads to do for the entire family. The facilities are excellent and it is very difficult to get bored. My daughter can't get enough of it and I love it for the cycling opportunities. It's a cheap and nice day out.

Yes the parking is pricey (advertised as £5 but we paid £4 arriving after 2pm) but then the carparks and park was reasonably full on a cold Sunday in February so that suggests its not doing anything massively wrong. Perfectly acceptable for a gentle winter amble on good quality paths and facilities and the chance of a warm drink at... More

£5 to enter the park... ouch! So had we come in two cars that would be £10, 3 = £15 etc... etc... oh dear!!!! Not a good start! We attended the park for a pleasant Sunday afternoon walk with two children, having paid to park and realising most of the facilities / activities were closed for winter we attended the... More
