One of the late Eddie Hackett's last design projects, the Ring of Kerry Golf Club is without doubt the most spectacular heathland golf course in Ireland. Overlooking beautiful Kenmare Bay, the golf course nestles between the towering MacGillycuddy Reeks and the Caha Mountains. Majesty alone of course does not make a great golf course. The scenery helps but it's the layout, stiff challenge and excellent greens that make Ring of Kerry Golf Club one of the finest golf courses in Ireland.

Was back in May with a largely different group and it's got better! James and the team were as welcoming as ever and have made more improvements to the course and refurbished the restaurant and bar. So much so that I'll be back in July....More

What a superb heathland golf course, every hole is breathtaking and such a great challenge. Nature and golf rolled into one perfect package! The club house is welcoming, friendly and serves great food.

Friendly personnel. Beautiful new clubhouse. Course is quite hilly and probably best to rent a buggy. Greens are in great shape, maybe a tad slower than the greens in Waterville. If you have completed several links rounds this is a welcome change to a hilly,...More

The "Ring" has to be one of the most scenic courses in Europe beautifully situated above the Kenmare River and overlooking the Caha Mountain range. Designed by Ireland's great architect, Eddie Hackett, the course, in addition to its challenging design has the finest greens I...More

Hello Thank you for your enquiry. I would recommend staying in the nearby town of Kenmare, which is famous for its many wonderful bars and restaurants. Kenmare hotels and Guesthouses that we recommend are: Sheen Falls... More
