Phuket weekend market (locally known as Naka Market), located along Chao Fa West Road just outside Phuket Town not far from Central Festival, is a fascinating jumble of secondhand goods, curios, pirated items, live animals and a large amount of great local food to sample. It really is worth a visit even if you're not planning on buying anything. If you were to ask, "What's for sale here?" The answer would probably be, "How much time do you have?" as the list of goods is endless.

Plenty of food, plenty of local merchandise shop. Any kind of food is tasty here. For muslim, don't worry they will tell and be honest with you if it's halal food or not. But if you're visiting Bangkok after that. Better to shop in Bangkok, because the price way much cheaper in Bangkok.

We enjoyed the Naka market however the smells can get to you if you are sensitive. Shopping was great. And the food and culture were great to see.

Save your shopping for here if you want a bargain. Packed with tourists and extremely humid within the tight aisles - this can be an uncomfortable trip, but well worth the experience. The market is split into two sections - food market & goods market. Walk the aisles of the food section to be greeted with many smells and interesting... More

The main purpose i went to naka is i want to buy some clothes or bags, but it turned out that i didnt buy anything except food because the style is not so good or mostly secondhand i think But what i like about naka is the food! Yeah!! So many foods you can try. Cheap and yummy 👌

Went there and loved it. Many stalls selling their wares. Under cover which was good as it started to rain really hard without the hoardings and tarpaulin we would have been drenched. Good variety of goods and able to barter them to a price more liken to your pocket. Good afternoon out.

We arrive at 17:00 to a busy market with various stores selling their products, the highlight for me was the food market the atmosphere was amazing , we sampled many foods and all I can say is WOW, worth a visit for couple of hrs, more if your eating out at a restaurant

But what a place! Loads of food stalls, had a fabulous green curry for about a quid! Great lively atmosphere. Loads of stalls, most of them a bit samey. If you want designer knock offs it's the place for you!

Some of those smells are not in our normal experience, meaning that some are aromatic an appealing ... while others are not. Well worth a visit.

The food court is really big like the whole market itself. In case you have been to the Chatuchack market in Bangkok I think it's equally big (might be a little smaller though) but not quite as cool as Chatuchack. Lots of electronics and clothing but not really anything special like you would find in Chatuchack.
