Like others have said, it is very pricey, but the admission is good for at least 2 days, probably good for as long as you stay within the park. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, and rightfully so, it is busy and filled with tourists. That is why I would highly suggest camping at... More

I have been in Yading Nature Reserve in late November/ early December. There were not many tourist visiting the national park this late in the year, due to the short days and the pretty cold nights. Nevertheless, the weather was pretty suitable for hiking. If you bring the right equipment, it should still be possible to do trekking. The scenery... More

Breathtaking view once you step into the Scenic Area. I'm lucky cause the day I went was clear with blue sky. Those of the pictures taken goes well with the snow mountain behind and the clear lake & small river. Make sure you're physically trained before you go. You need to walk really a lot at this high altitude and... More

Clearly one of the best and well maintained site I have seen in a China. Be prepared for long walk at this high altitude and could be a problem if one is not accustomed to it. Could easily spend a full day just enjoying the views.

Entrance set at 34 km from aden village which cost RMB150. and either you walk 34 km to the village and another 6km to scenic area, or buy a 'sightseeing tour bus ticket' which is RMB120, and the bus pick people at certain place only, if you walk at somewhere which is not a pick up point and want to... The scenery is beautiful... On a clear day! However when it is foggy you don't see much except the lakes...they really make the trip worth it. For us it was still not a great experience. The entry fee is high and you have to pay 120 for the shuttle bus which is also ridiculous but both things we are used... More

Two days and nights alone in the wilderness. Tent and GoPro packed. 4600m altitude. No network coverage, no internet or emergency calls. Not a single person within day's walking distance. True solitude. Tent and gear terribly heavy. Overnight -20*C, sleeping bag makes it somewhat bearable. Still, I am unable to sleep, body didn't acclimatise. Legs hurt, lungs grasping for air.... Unable to hire a horse or mule (300 yuan for a return trip) at the rental service of Luorong Pasture, we begin to walk up along the mountain road step by step and get to Milk Lake, a 10-km return trip ( about 5 hours ). The hiking trail is not paved with smooth stones, instead uncut rocks for most... More

The best experience of walking with myself - meaning the grasslands, autumn colours, brooks, lakes and mountains had me in a trance as I meandered from the top back to the base of the tram ride at Yading Nature Reserve. I was glad I had brought water and some snacks and just enjoyed the hours meandering downwards to the start... More
