Artsy accommodations, beautiful birds, and fantastic food in idyllic setting. We stayed two nights here, and it could not have been better. I love the whimsical and personal touches that Victoria had added throughout the location. Her hospitality is unmatched. A hummingbird dream and rich with many other species as well. I would definitely recommend.

Great place. A mixture of treated garden and forest areas. You can move freely around the area. Were little guests, so good opportunity to be completely calm and experience the silence.
We saw several types of colibri. For us it was also fun to meet the alpaca.
Very bad way to get there. But it is clearly informed. Be sure to follow the instructions from the observatory and make sure that the driver understands how bad the road is. We spent about an hour from Bogota, a day with quite little traffic.

This new place outside Caleras near Bogotá has a nice garden, with good hummingbird feeders. Specialties are Blue-fronted Starfrontlet, Sword-billed hummingbirds and Glowing puffleg. Good coffee and cake is included. It takes you 20 minutes from the road and it is better to make a reservation. Take two hours to enjoy.

Beign around all those humming birds is really great. Seeing them so close, many different species and hearing the humming is totally cool.

My wife is an avid gardener and one of the extra delights of that activity is the appearance of hummingbirds. Our son planed a special surprise for her when we visited Bogota last month. This garden of hummingbirds was beyond anything you can possibly imagine.
The ride to the farm was directed by Nicolas Otero, who is a professor and professional photographer. He was very interesting in his own right, but he helped our son take fantastic photos of at least 18 different species of hummingbirds. Colombia has more of these birds than other place in the world. Needless to say my wife was swept away with the beauty of the birds and the incredible setting. I highly recommend seeking this tour out with Nicolas Otero as your guide.

The place is a personal garden 30 min from La Calera. The garden is full of different species of hummingbirds. It is a great opportunity to learn about them. The hostess, Victoria, is very kind and it shows she is passioned about this beautiful birds. It is really worth it. The place also have a gift shop with lovely souvenirs. You need to book in advance and also remember to bring cash, since they don’t accept cards.

What a fantastic place to spend a couple or few hours. Be entertained by the hummers, up to eleven species are regular visitors. Beautiful surroundings and you can take your time just watching and perfect location for photographs of the birds.
Must visit everyone to Bogota who likes nature.

This is the place for you. An excellent blend of wildlife sanctuary and visitor attraction. Just sitting in the patio area you can expect to see about a dozen species, including the amazing Swordbill Hummingbird and rare Blue-fronted Starfrontlet. Very close to Bogota. Reservations are required and limited. Refer to their website.
