Looking for an adventure for your group? Then a fly In fishing trip with Air Ivanhoe is the outfitter to go with. It's a family owned and operated business that treats all of their guests as if they are family also.
Our group has been going with A.I. since 1996 and we wouldn't consider changing. The cabins and boats/motors are well maintained and the fishing has always been 1st class. Talk with them about one of their lakes and I guarantee you will not be steered wrong.
The lodge is very clean, comfortable and well kept, the restaurant food is great and reasonably priced.
If this were a five star rating review I'd give them 5 out of 5.

George, Jeanne and Joel do an outstanding job. It's obvious they are not just interested in a buck. They care for their clients and do everything possible to make your trip a great one. I've been with them for 4 fly in trips and can't wait for my 5th this summer! If you are looking for good accommodations, great fishing and a good price, think Air Ivanhoe!

Great camping and fishing on Ivanhoe Lake/River, a true northern experience, expect more daylight hours than you are used to down south. Nice beach areas, good hiking trails. Quiet, secluded, great paddling ops on Ivanhoe Lake and River. Supplies and food in nearby Foleyet, and meals Thurs-Sun at nearby Ivanhoe River Inn.

Our group has been going there yearly since 2001 from the metro Detroit area, MI.
We are taking 100s of pictures and build wall calendars, so we can see them every day during the year. Slurping hot cowboy coffee at sunrise, listening to the loons, having great breakfasts, fishing 10-12 hours a day with delicious meal breaks, exchanging fishing stories at the campfire with our buddies. Good laughs. Great friendships. No other humans, just plenty of wildlife around us. Sleeping under starry skies, without worries. Off the hook for a week.
Already in the calendar for next year.
Do yourself a favor and go!!
Enough said.

The entire park is wrapped around the lake so there is a beach spot for everyone, lots of lovely sites and the pull throughs for big trailers are quite big

Ivanhoe PP is an awesome park! Lovely pull thru sites right across from a great beach! We’ve been here in July and Sept and both experiences were awesome! Great trails and lovely dog beach! Highly recommend this park as a stop over on your travels to northern Ontario!

Beautiful, clean park with very friendly and exceptionally helpful staff. The White Birch Hill area is very forested and there were so many birds singing it seemed like a sanctuary or an exagerrated movie soundtrack (seriously). Nice beaches, one of which is super shallow and good for smaller kids - you can walk out for 150 feet and it still only goes to your knees. The other beach gets deeper faster. Cute little free library at the comfort station near the beach so bring your used books for trading. There are at least two potable drinking water sources in the park. There are many other water taps in the park as well though you have to boil the water before drinking it.

Bucket List: Visit every Provincial Park in Ontario. We were not expecting to visit Ivanhoe on this trip but could not take the car across the 90+km dirt road from Wakami Lake Provincial Park to Biscotasi Lake Provincial Park. We turned back and went up to Chapleau and then on to Ivanhoe. It was a pleasant detour! Drove around the campsites, quite nice and went to the beach, very nice. We took a hike around Quaking Bog - were a bit disappointed as the board walk was closed. Good day use park.

Visited last week of August 2017. King Fisher south cabin - Lake Kapuskasing.
It was always my dream to go on one of these trips. I was sold at the Toronto spring fishing show and the line that sold me:" 50 fish on a good day - 20 on a bad day". Now, not that i expected those exact numbers but I was excited about the prospects!
Our experience fishing wise was 5 hours of fishing with two experienced guys working very hard for 3-5 Pickerel (15-18" in size). Managed to catch enough for dinner almost every day but that was it.
Lots of small Pike in that lake hitting on everything you throw in (worms, jigs). Not once did we try to cast for a Pike but Pike was by far the most frequently hooked species. Had one nice bass and 3 jumbo Perch (7 days)
Our cabin (VIP) was in poor state of repair. Can't understand why the toilet seat was disconnected from the seat cover so it was sliding all over the toilet when you try to sit on it ($10 repair) or the shower head totally clogged ($ 15). The mattresses were at least 10y old with springs "massaging" your back on every turn? The whole cabin foundation was badly slanted. So much so that you had to be careful not to roll out of the top bunk over night.
That said, I am not some snobby "city boy" expecting to be pampered (most of my outings are tenting in wild with mosquitoes) but it just gives a bad impression of "not giving a damn".
As i said, the fishing was disappointing.I get better day of fishing on my local waters. I give it an Average rating only for great service and overall good experience (great weather, piece and quiet, nice scenery). The pilots and Sea base lodge crew were very pleasant to deal with.
