Excellent experience, fabulous views, but much more expensive than it should be , and staff a bit offhand

Amazing trip! Worth the price (45€ per adult) but really highly recommend it :) just one watch out: Lifts have break between 12:45pm-2pm. But otherwise would not regret experiencing views from almost 3000 m above!

Amazing experience and well run, if a little expensive. Views are incredible and the history and tour are fascinating.

What an amazing experience. While visiting area with 3 kids 13,11 and 8 it can be a bit of a challenge to keep everyone happy and entertained. This ticked all the boxes. While it was pricey it was a worth while experience. Step one, find...More

Travelled to the Pic du Midi as a family with two teenagers. Travelled by car on an hour long journey which was great in itself. We started winding up the steep Pyrenees hills and took in the Grand Tormalet en route which is a beast...More

OMG! Just go! The weather was so poor at land level but when we got up there, it was amazing. Stayed for 6 hours! Enjoy the view, some side events came out, looking at the sun (safely) and the pontoon. In a guide it says...More

Choose a nice clear day to take the cable car up and be rewarded with amazing views of the snow clap Pyrenees. I would imagine you would see nothing on a cloudy day. There is a live webcam you can check to see what its...More

A French friend recommended the Nuit au Sommet--the overnight experience--at Pic du Midi, and I thought, sure: I'm up for something different, and the idea of sunrise and sunset high in the sky, good views of the stars and planets, and (as he said) excellent...More

Check the weather forecast before you come here (which we did), because otherwise it would be a wasted (expensive) trip. The Pic du Midi has its own forecast, so it’s easy to check on Google. La Mongie, the town from where you get the cable...More

View fantastic, but day was let down when trying to descend. Staff were rude and left us standing for 30 minutes. One car even went down empty. Elderly people in queue we're not given an explanation. Shame really. Especially at the price.

Best of luck with that! I’d rather cable car up and walk down. It’s a long way to walk, either way. I considered walking down but didn’t see any access points to footpaths. I would ask before you set off to see it it’s... More

you can ski down, so walking down would be fine...long way though...an as said there are no halfway drop off or pick ups so once you start u will need to turn back or keep going all the way
