We visited this magnificent old home on a beautiful sunny day. It was awesome walking all through the house, seeing the Great Hall, the medieval kitchen, and many other rooms, thinking of the history. We finished by having a lovely lunch in the hall's cafe.

Friendly staff. Great audio guide with interactive questions to entertain smaller children. They welcome you to touch displays. Lovely reasonably priced cafe. Great family day out. Good small gardens for picnic lunch too. Close to town.
