Regularly described as a “hidden gem in Lincolnshire” this exciting visitor attraction offers a variety of events and exhibitions and an award – winning schools’ education programme. Owned by English Heritage the Hall is operated by Lincolnshire County Council. Gainsborough Old Hall is a large, late- medieval manor house built by the noble Burgh family around 1460. The house boasts an impressive Great Hall; original medieval kitchen; East and West ranges containing a myriad of rooms and a haunted ghost corridor.

If you 're in the area go it's worth a visit. Not great if you 're disable lots of stairs but nice place parking in a payable car park across the way

Amazing property originating from the middle ages with later additions. Also great exhibition of costumes from film & tv including Poland's clothes!!

Attractive building set in lovely gardens. A real feeling of history. Interesting temporary display of costumes from film and TV. Displays suitable to interest children. Excellent cafe. Car parking a short walk away.

Brilliant. The exhibition of costumes didn't disappoint. The actual manor house is well presented and of real interest.

Fantastic example of a Tudor great hall, quarters and kitchens. As a bonus we saw a display of costumes worn for Tudor films. Excellent display in the pantry and kitchen and provided a sense of how royalty were lavishly looked after.
