Must see attraction at lijiang. Majestic mountains with rain-capped summit shrouded in a sea of clouds. However getting there can be a hassle so booked early. You will need you country's ID to purchase entry ticket to the national park. Queue can go up to 3hours during peak season. There's a daily cap of 10000 tourists per day so ticket... More

We went during the off peak season, so there were relatively less crowd. Book a local tour which cost around CNY400 (special discount- we opt for no lunch). Anyway it took us close to 2 hours from the entrance to the mountain. It took us awhile to reach the top to 4680. One just have to walk slowly and steadily.... More

Bring a jacket or a windbreaker if you have one. If you don't have one, there is also the option of renting one at the shops on the way there. Our driver brought us to one of the shops on the way there to get oxygen cans and to rent jackets. If you're healthy, you do not need the oxygen... More

Mountains and rivers of Lijiang seem to be shrouded in a layer of mysterious color, it is a desirable place. Walking in the alley with blue bricks, I can feel the taste of of primitive simplicity. Mountains and rivers of Lijiang did not get any on the flavor of the city, the people here still retains the primitive way of... More

I went to Yunnan Province with my family during Spring Festival. We climb the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on last day of the lunar year. That was my first time to see real snow. I was born and grew up in the city in south China which never snow in my memory. However, I did not the process of snowing... More

I went Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on 25th December, 2015. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is located in Lijiang, the highest peak is 5596 meters above sea level. Before we went to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, we rented a down jacket and a oxygen cylinder. We take the cable car up the snow-capped mountains, and then through the cliff to continue... More

My friend and me joined a local tour for one day travelling which included climbing up the Yulong Mountain. After having a buffet lunch on the halfway up to the mountain, we all amazed by the scene of it. We got up to the 3180m of the mountain by the cable cars and then we started to climb. Actually there... More

Reached the first platform by cable car and from there with our oxygen cans we reach top platform, be advised to be prepared as we can noticed many persons with breathing problems, but the view from up there is worth it.

Yulong Mountain is an impressive sight. With it's nearly 5.600 meters, it towers over the Lijiang valley and, although coming from an mountainous region it still leaves a deep impression.
