- Neil Hobbs11 contributionsOutstanding!!We visited 27/10/23 and were made very welcome by the friendly staff as we entered. We were not disappointed and given it was a boutique chocolate outlet found the prices very reasonable with variety and unique flavours. Thanks Bruny Island chocolate you completed our day - the Albury couple !Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten October 27, 2023
- Virginia NBrisbane, Australia355 contributionsWorth a stop for the chocolate fix.Cute little shop. Pretty big selection of Chocolate. We all bought something even though it is a little overpriced and agreed it was ok chocolate. Worth a visit just for the ambiance and chocolate fix.Visited January 2024Travelled with friendsWritten January 6, 2024
- BG94London, United Kingdom58 contributionsDelicious chocolate and fudgeWe visited to buy some chocolate and fudge which was sooo yummy (yes it is just a shop - so not sure what people were expecting?) Pretty impressive considering the tiny size of the island and some of the best chocolate we’ve had in Australia!! Also the lady in the shop was lovely and we had a great chat about Bruny and Australia. If you like chocolate it’s a must!Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten January 12, 2024
- Kath ASydney, Australia40 contributionsSmall shop, purchase & go vibeWe purchased a mixed chocolate pack and some truffles to eat later. The truffles are wonderfully delicious! I am not a fan of fudge but the orange fudge in our mixed pack was very good! Be aware there is no taste testing and it’s a very small shop.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten May 1, 2024
- Michelle CHobart, Australia47 contributionsGood variety of chocolate.Cute little shop. Great variety of Chocolates. No hot drinks available ( only bottled water) We visited on a cold but nice winters day, a hot chocolate drink to go with our Chocolates would have been nice.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten August 17, 2024

I stopped into this little chocolate store with great anticipation, to only be left disappointed. The shop is tiny, very dark and the products are very expensive given the portions. There were two mini buses with tour groups at the shop at the same time as me and the staff only seemed interested in entertaining those groups and offering samples to them. No samples for us regular non-tour bus folk!
Lack of customer service aside, I bought some fudge, whiskey truffles and coconut rough to take home. Ate the coconut rough in the car on the way to the ferry and it was very average in taste. I get that the island is remote and it’s small batch production but some service and education about products would have been good.
For now, I’d advise visitors not to waste your time stopping here unless you come on a tour.

We were a bus load of 12 people and all were very disappointed. Very limited range , exorbitant prices and very rude staff could not recommend to anyone. Everywhere else on Bruny island was fantastic. Do yourselves a favour and give this place the miss.

The best little chocolate shop. We thought it was gorgeous. So much choice and lovely products. Very well presented. A1 service from the lovely ladies. There is also a surprise Whisky Distillery on site. The Hounds Tooth whisky. These people obviously work very hard to make all this beautiful produce.
All the mean spirited whingers on here carrying on about no toilets, no cafe etc need to wake up. It’s Bruny island - people have rain water and can’t cater to bus loads of people requiring a toilet stop. There are plenty of public toilets on the island. Also there are plenty of cafes around the island. A cafe is a whole different business. This business is a commercial kitchen with a retail shop and distillery with a cellar door. 2 very lovely businesses selling fantastic local products..
We ate our Devine truffles and fudge on the picnic tables. Stopping here is a must for a little treat and to support small local business.

Don’t expect a tour, unless watching a video in the shop is a tour... but expect sensational chocolate! The choc truffles are to die for, all the other chocolate we bought was magnificent.
They don’t miss you with price but understandable as it’s all home made & it’s their living, so you don’t feel bad about paying it.
I’m going back today to buy more to take home.

Do yourself a favour…. DON’T GO THERE. The good stuff didn’t make up for the bad. Expensive but we wanted to support the locals. However … when you purchase a cherry ripe bar and get nougat (which was awful) it cemented some of the other comments we have read. We wanted to provide private feedback but there is no option to do that. Disappointing 🥲 ps.. we thought the feedback from others about no name on the packaging was a little harsh as the colours sort of give it away… maybe the people doing the packaging need a lesson…. 😳😳😳

We went here under the impression that there would be a cafe. Given the idea that it’s a chocolate factory.
We were extremely disappointed that it was a small shop selling some chocolates and soft toys which didn’t have a good finish.
The lady at the counter wasn’t friendly. There is no factory or chocolate production for us to view unlike the yarra valley chocolatier. If we had any idea of this place, we wouldn’t have wasted our time stopping here.

Visited this shop on a Sunday afternoon. Found a large range of chocolates to choose from but a bit disappointed that there was no opportunity to taste before you buy like other chocolate shops I have visited. Overall found the prices quite expensive for the quality and size of the chocolates on sale. For example, Cherry chocolate bar that is smaller than the average Cherry ripe costs $4.50.

A shop of the highway. The lady serving was friendly, the shop had room to move around but I’ve eaten much nicer chocolate. Didn’t help that ginger fudge had been put where the nougat was and I didn’t realise until I’d taken a bite. Had to spit it out. There is also a whisky distillery next door with very nice grounds. I don’t like whisky so didn’t try any. Overall our experience of Bruny Island has been disappointing, expensive to stay and extremely overrated.
