When I had visited this dam (December 2016) - the facilities at Dam are being developed including the pathway. However - The dam offers a good panoramic view with blue waters and mountains in the backdrop. If you are near this attraction, you may plan to visit this. Otherwise, if you had visited another famous dam (Banasurasagar) already, you may... More

They are building a tourist spot there and it should be ready by Feb 2017. There are two roads to reach there. One is terrible as we went by that road. I don't remember the name of the route but don't take that route. Other route is good. We returned via that route. Very good view of the collected water.

You need to walk and nothing much attractive. The lake has clear water and some renovation work is going on.

Nice dam view, you can walk all the way through. This would be good place to visit for curious children. Dam leads to a reservoir. Entry free for all, best time to visit in evening.

The view of the water flow near the Damn is pristine, the area is free from litter and pollution which makes it worth a visit, spend an hour and you can feel your lungs can perform better.

As it was Kerala Bandh, we decided to go walking from the resort where we stayed. The staff mentioned it as less than 3 kms. But, we landed up taking the main route and had to walk around 12 kms to and fro. Hence our expectation was much high on Karapuzha Dam. But was disappointed as there was nothing much... More

Hi all, Visited this place with family. The road which leads to this place from Ambalavayal (6 kms from Ambalavayal took 40 mins in a rented Jeep) is terrible and to be frank, there is no road, its only potholes. People travelling by small cars can better avoid this place. Dam as such is an OK place to visit.
