I am really surprised by some of the nasty reviews of this place. People who care more about some dust and gaffer tape than their kids having fun is strange. We came to the Dick Whittington Farm Park expecting a play area and some animals to see. We were told on our way in that this has now changed to... More

Been to this play farm park about 5 or 6 times with our 2 grand- daughters now ages 3 and 8. Previous visits were successful as we ran the socks off them and wandered through the animal paddocks and all was well. However today's visit, at the request of the 8 year old was far from acceptable. We purposely did... More

The staff recognise this visitor. The children seemed to have a great time but this gentleman complained bitterly about the quality of the burgers and ham. We do not make the burgers or ham, they come in from a reputable supplier. We merely cook them and serve them. It is more than a little unfair for him then to kick... More

We visited here today and wow what a big let down, the toilets were very unclean, basic hygiene was not present, the place smelt of greasy fried good, the soft play was worn and there was litter and grime everywhere. The icing on the cake was the lack of animals at this farm park. We couldn't wait to get away... More

The Management strongly reject these comments. The toilets are immaculately cleaned every morning and, whilst some tissue may fall on the floor during the course of the day, they are certainly not unclean. The smell of cooking comes from the kitchen but there is a separate eating area which most visitors use in the Play Barn. However a number of... More

Having recently been praised on this site for our deep cleaning, we can only conclude that this comment is about the litter and food dropped by visitors during the day. Our cleaning team would like to extend an invitation to this reviewer to join them in the evening clean of the debris left on a daily basis by the visitors.... More

Visited with 2 grandchildren aged 2 & 3, they loved the indoor play area, the animals are disappointing and we're a little smelly when we visited, the whole place is a little grubby and shabby, we didn't eat there due to the overall cleanliness, but did have a coffee which was OK.

It is well known now that the Park’s main attraction is its massive indoor Play Barn. A painting programme is in place and there have been some fantastic murals done by a friend of Banksy. We are not sure how you can describe this as ‘shabby’. The farm animals have now virtually disappeared and we are focused on a Riding... More

The animals are not the primary reason you would visit this farm park; it is the indoor play area which is excellent. Extracting the children to look at the animals proved challenging! Excellent value for money with a good cafe.

We pop here most months of the year and have been visiting around 5 years. As an adult, I personally don't think it's amazing, but the kids really don't notice that. We spent 6 hours here today and if you work that out per hour for the entrance fee, it's actually very reasonable! This place gets a lot of stick... More

I have taken my kids here in the past and they have enjoyed it, but after last Sunday's experience I won't be rushing back! It's gone downhill ALOT! We arrived and it looked closed, we got in and I waited around for 5mins until I was seen to. The seating area was dirty, the soft play area is in desperate... More

This review goes against the flow of very positive comments that we are receiving from visitors. An independent cleaner was interviewed in the last couple of days and made the comment 'nobody could say this Play Barn is dirty'... Obviously, in hot weather, the doors are opened to allow a breeze to come through. The last visitor who challenged us... More

We loved the facilities especially for young children, however we will not be returning as the standards have really dropped!! Food, which was really good was shocking!! Our tuna sandwich was terrible & we could not eat & the cheeseburger was left after one bite!! Place was dirty & as I said standards have dropped!! Shocking really & a shame!

Our Restaurant serves hundreds of meals a week to families and children. If there is a problem with the food, just come and talk to our kitchen staff who will be delighted to assist. Regarding standards, we have just had our Restaurant rating levels increased by the local Forest of Dean District Council. More

Came off the back of the leaflet and website, both showing pictures of lizards and snakes, saying that were was an aquarium and fun outdoor activities. Our Visitor Centre is best known for its massive indoor Play Barn. We are also well known for our award winning environmental work. The suggestion that our ecological areas are ‘run down’ totally misses the point. Did this visitor admire the fantastic array of wild flowers, insect and bird life, or were they suggesting that this should all simply be... More
