One isn't completely prepared for this impressive sight until you arrive in person. There are ethereal icebergs floating in the lagoon. Every once in a while a loud noise announces that an iceberg has calved and the pieces float out to sea under the bridge....More

Although there were a lot of tourists, you can at least get some photos without people or selfie sticks. Watch the icebergs float down under the bridge and then cross over to see the little bergs stranded on the black sand.

First of all, the glaciers were actually this blue. The sceneries were amazing, this and diamond beach is worth a lengthy stop like everyone else said. If you are lucky you may witness a piece of a glacier fall into the water, or a piece...More

We went and I took the amphibian tour on a duckboat for approximately 45 minutes. My travel partner took the zodiac tour for about an hour. Neither was cheap. Afterwards we walked around the area taking numerous photos of icebergs and the glacier. We drove...More

The 14 hour Bus Tour with GetYourGuide.com was an awesome experience. We have been to many places in the Coastal area, the best place for me during the tour was the Jökulsárlón Glacier with the Boat Tour, it's pricey since we have to pay extra...More

I loved this stop. It is completely unique. You do not have to take a boat tour to see these amazing icebergs. You can park off of Route 1 and walk around on both sides of the road and view the this lagoon easily. It...More

This was a remarkable place to visit. We took the Zodiac Tour, getting up close and personal with icebergs, seals and the glacier. We spent a good five or six hours here. To see this lake as the tide was heading out and again when...More

It's a must see, but be sure to have a semi-flexible schedule since boat rights can be canceled depending on weather. You'll want to wait around until you can go because it's definitely worth it!

It will all depend on your schedule, but for sure this is an amazing place, however as I said in one of my posts, you won't miss anything if you skip the boat trip in the lagoon. As someone already said, check some picture... More
