This is a very long tour but well worth it. We did this tour with Reykjavik Excursions, and left Reykjavik at 7:30, arriving back around 10pm. The day we did this trip was the only day on our trip that was pouring rain – this...More

Absolutely breathtaking! We could not believe the color of the little icebergs that were floating in the lagoon - such a vibrant shade of blue! We saw a couple seals swimming in the water and lots of Eider ducks.

Located at southern Iceland. To get there, drive along ring road 1. Do drive with 4x4 if visiting in Winter.

The place is absolutely surreal and full with some ancient magic. The great big icebergs float in the lagoon alongside with the wild seals, the sound of the ocean is far, the air is chill...

This lagoon, with the ice and the ice cave visit were absolutely spectacular. The blue shades of ice floating and the water, grey hues of sky and seals swimming in the Lagoon are out of this world. We took a tour from here and visited...More

This was my favorite stop during my time in Iceland. It was VERY cold and WINDY the day I was there. Fair warning, if you shimmy up to the top of the little hill to get a pic or panoramic, it's worth it but I...More

Take the amphibious boat ride on the lagoon. Fun and safe. View icebergs from various perspectives. You learn the history and formation of the glacier and why the icebergs are varied in color. You even get to taste an iceberg. Don't forget to cross the...More

You must see this - even if you are only doing a trip from Reykavik. You simply can't understand the beauty and wonder from photographs. Walk down under the bridge for seal sightings and an ice covered beach. Tip - get there at day break...More
