A friend in Canada recommended this museum and I am glad that I visited. The collections are extensive and well presented. I actually learned quite a bit here. If you could only visit one Western Front museum, I recommend this one.

The basement of this chateau has been made into bunkers and represents the conditions in which the British soldiers lived (if they were lucky). Very atmospheric it's a must see.

Beautiful grounds and a surprisingly detailed museum complete with replicas of the underground tunnels and open trenches. Well worth the trip and it's also closely Tyne Cot cemetery which is also amazing.
