the castle is about 20-25min on foot by city centre.there is an entrance fee and reduced price for some groups(students, over 65 years old). You can enjoy the route to the castle among the trees (there is an uphill).what i enjoy most was the view from the higher tower and the maps of the area that explain the view in 360 degrees.

The castle is about half an hour from the lovely town centre (on foot, as cars are prohibited, the only vehicle is a sight-seeing bus (which looks like a little train). The ticket to the castle costs 4 euros, 2 for children and 3 for pensioners and disabled people. It is not at all much for all that you can experience. Beginning with the castle itself. The breathtaking panorama. An exhibition about the history of the castle. Another one about rural life in the mountains in the past. Another one which consists of musical instruments. And another one dedicated to opera, as a famous opera singer of the 19th century was born in the town of Sestola. The mountain with the castle is 1,500 metres high above sea level, covered with huge pine trees. From here the Monte Cimone (a peak off about 2,200 metres) is not far, you can see it close. I love this place.
