This haveli is by far the most impressive of the many hundreds of abandoned fresco buildings in Shekawati region. The caretaker /guide has a good knowledge about the havelis. The fresco are well restored and colors are very vibrant. Prepare to spend at least 2 hours to fully appreciate the details of various drawings reflecting the Indian epics of both... More

Excellent and informative small museum, with a friendly and very knowledgeable local guide. As well as the exquisite decoration and history of the havelli there are also a number of quirky rooms devoted to turbans, art, jewellery etc. It's the museum that keeps on giving!!

Beautiful, albeit repainted murals cover this building. The (free) guides can provide you with fascinating explanations of the various subject matters.

Podar Haveli Museum has been pioneer in initiating the display. Initially they had a school running in the same premises, and still they managed to keep it in perfect display form. Great Work.

The owners of this haveli have done a great job to preserve the heritage structure. A guide is there at all times to explain/answer any of your queries. Right from the entrance to any nook or cranny, frescoes and artifacts are kept in great condition. Have a close look at the paintings to catch a glipmse of the life and... More

Podar Haveli is one of the best heritage building which is preserved in entire Shekhawati area. Most of the Havelis in Mandawa and Nawalgarh are in ruins or poorly maintained and locked. But Podar Haveli in Nawalgarh is among few where you can go inside with a ticket and a guide and can actually experience frescos and rich heritage of... More

Well maintained, systematic, ticketed -Rs 80 per person. There is a guide available who is actually the money collector too! The attraction is the various collection of turbans, marble carvings, Gandhiji memorabilia, thermocol replicas of Forts and Palaces of Rajasthan, the dolls in wedding gears from different communities of the state and so on and on. You would end up... More
