    Would definitely go again!
The pricing was great, there are multiple types of stickbugs you can hold, there are frogs, toads, axolotls, centipedes, beetles, spiders, etc. There are also many displays of bugs from all over the world, as well as a place to get ice cream, there’s a wonderful gift shop with things for all ages, ranging from toys to fidgets to clothes, earrings, stuffed animals, decor, and so much more. There’s an entire bee hive inside that you can watch through glass. As well as a whole ant colony. Every creature has a card on the wall or around the habitat with some facts about the creatures, how dangerous they are, where they live, etc. All the stickbugs were great! There is a place outside for you to keep your pets free of charge so they don’t sit in the car, however I would recommend giving them water if you plan on going during a hot day, or if you stay there for a while. The staff are amazing and so kind and helpful. One of my favourite parts is the butterfly room! There’s a place where you walk in and there are butterflies flying around and just living their life, if you wear a bright coloured shirt, a couple might land on you! Just a warning though, it is warm in there, you might want to wear a pair of shorts. Overall the staff are very kind and happy to help with anything, definitely one of my favourite places in Newfoundland! :)

Fun, educational and not your average roadside attraction
At first thought this would just be a good way to stretch and break up the drive. Turned out to be well worth a couple of hours. Butterflies were beautiful and easy to observe. Some even landed on us. The bugs were fascinating and the display almost overwhelming. Stop and watch the leaf cutter ants. Great for kids too.

Butterflies and bugs and critters, oh my! What a great place!
This was a great museum and butterfly house! Absolutely worth visiting. The displays are amazing and all the live insects/animals are very cool to see. Our group was all adults, but this would be an awesome place to visit with kids - it's fascinating.

Place is just fantastic. Rivals the one in New Mexico. People working there were so nice, especially the young lady working on the 2nd floor.

I recommend this Insectarium to everyone.

We had one rainy/long driving day for our trip to Newfoundland and saw signage for thus on the highway. We decided to stop and were glad we did! Such neat experiences watching butterflies come out of their chyrsalis', informative staff, interactive butterfly space, neat ant tunnels, bee hive and more. Staff can allow you to handle some bugs (didn't participate).

If you are coming to Newfoundland this is a must see. The RV park across the road will probably be up and running when you arrive. We came as part of a tour group and the gentleman who owns the place gave us an absolutely riveting talk about bees. It was so fascinating and attention grabbing that I had no idea I liked bees that much. He explained it in such a simple way using a see-through beehive to point out the queen the drones and the worker bees. it is wonderful to listen to a passionate person discuss their work. you can’t help but feel the same way.
There is also a gigantic colony of leaf cutter ants in a see-through plexiglass exhibit. The ants are able to travel through plastic tubes all around the exhibit hall to get their leaves positioned at other locations.. Again the leaf cutters were explained in great detail.
There are also other insects exhibited, some alive and some pinned. The Insectarium docents unlocked a case and let the kids handle a particular odd looking insect that looked a lot like a brown leaf. The reactions range from creeped out to laughingly fascinated. The butterfly garden was wonderful. Imagine stepping into a hot greenhouse full of foliage and flying butterflies. Many of them lit on the humans clothing and rode around during the whole visit.
