Ranganatha swamy temple in Srirangam is a must-visit place for any tourists to Trichy

It is a very huge temple with a number of sannithis for different forms of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi like, Ramar, Krishnan, Narasimhan, Andal etc.

They ave free darshan as well as with tickets of different denominations. We chose ₹500/- ticket per person, going at 8.30 am.

We could finish darshan in around half an hour.
It was a serene moment to go so close to the reigning deity Ranganatha swamy. Also Thayer ( Lakshmi) sannithi.

We are told that one should try and avoid Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as the temple tends to be very crowded.

This temple is such a massive structure it is immediately recognizable from the top of the Rock Fort. You may want to dedicate a few hours here to fully explore the temple, but it does take time to fully appreciate the immensity after a string of temples.

Excellent temple in a vast space. Sri Ranganathaswamy in a reclining position. There are multiple other temples inside the premises.
Must see if one is interested in temples.

Blissful experience. This is my second visit within three months gap. My last visit was in Nov 22. I planned my visit to hàve Darshanam in Dhanurmasam, that to immediately after mukkoti ekadashi (2-1-2023). We had two darshanams (3Rd&04).
Well organised to make many people to pray. In addition, you have a lot of sidekicks.
In 108 Divya Deshams, Srirangam Ranganatha swamy temple is counted as number 1.
We visited Nachiar temple (Divya Desham no 2) , Vekkaliamman temples, Jambhukeswar temple, Narasimha Swamy temple and samayapuram Amma temple.
Local police had mad excellent arrangements to safeguard public, made arrangements for safety checks, controlled/restricted vehicular movement. Ofcourse YATRIES suffered to reach their hotels rooms and temple.

The VIth Century temple speaks volumes about our rich cultural and religious life. The massive gopurams, the intricate sculptures, the rock-cut flag mast, the huge pillars, and the sheer size of the temple complex are overwhelming. Proud to be part of such a rich culture.
The 100 rupee ticket is needed to get across a portion of the queue quickly, however, it ends up in the same queue and one has to jostle to get past the narrow door. The crowd control could be better organized. It is now left to the whims of the security staff who do nothing but yell at the pilgrims.
The sign boards are sadly in Tamil only. The names of the deities are not clear since they are in Tamil. The prasadam is priced exorbitantly. A couple of guides would have been helpful for the pilgrims from outside Tamil Nadu.
