We hired a private guide to take us up to the Glacier. Wonderful experience. We enjoyed every moment of the hike to the Glacier and on the Glacier itself. Must come with good hiking boots and warm clothes.

See it before it is gone but don’t underestimate the real dangers of slipping and hurting yourself on the rocks or ice. Even with crampons, an ice axe and a veteran Sherpa (a seven time Everest climber) it was a bit tough for this novice.

They give you spikes to put on your shoes to walk on the ice and a pick-axe to help you climb and walk. You Also get gloves. It is necessary to bring good walking shoes, medium high Or high. If you don’t have any or... More
