About
Drenched in fog most of the year, this lighthouse is one of the foggiest in the country, and is a great whale-watching spot in the fall and spring.

The roads wind and paths are rugged. A deep thick fog lures overhead in certain areas. That’s why summer is the best time to come. The beaches are not the kind to swim in (rip tides) but they are great to look at and once...More

Beautiful hike away from city's hustle and bustle. Mileas and miles of beautiful sea shore. Some parts are shady and rest is in open so better carry your hat and lot of drinking water . Better take a sandwhich too.

This is the second time in three years that we traveled to the lighthouse. The first time, shame on us, we did not check to see if it was open on a Tuesday, and made the 45 minute- each way drive to get there and...More

If you make it back from all the stairs you’ll think, “that was awesome.” The light is now automated, I can’t imagine being the keeper beforehand...yikes.

You could use a scooter from the parking lot to the visitor center but not down to the lighthouse. You will be able to see it if the fog allies from the visitor center area.
