Overview
More
Mammoth is an impressive, gothic-like cave that could easily be described as the perfect home for a caveman. Tours are self-guided with an audio headset and begin via an elevated boardwalk through towering Karri forest. As you journey through the spectacular formations lookout for the carefully lit animal bones and fossils and listen to the stories about extinct animals. Wildflowers are abundant around the precinct from September to November. Located 22km south of Margaret River.

We arrived right at 4pm just in time to get tickets for our self-guided tour before closing. The view inside the cave was very cool. The stalactites and stalagmites were very interesting to see. We got some good photos and had a good time.

Really. They call this a cave. I would call it a hole in the ground. I was told, it takes 45 minutes to do a self guided tour of this so called cave with the audio set. I paid $22.50 for the tour. it took...More

We visited three caves in the region and nine disappointed!! Awe inspiring! A certain level of fitness is required but worth it for the amazing spectacle that awaits.

The price tag of $22.5 surprised us but we still went for it and weren't disappointed, an impressive place to visit and the audio guide is well done. Would have liked to purchase a pass to see other caves in the area but it wasn't...More

Excellent cave the sites are amazing, the audio is very well done. It does need some type of usher, as when I was there people doing selfies and group are quite annoying, as they hold every one up Which is takes away the magic of...More

We liked the fact that we could do a self-guided tour - perhaps that was because we had already seen the Jewel Cave and knew enough about the the cave formations. Unlike the Jewel Cave we could see how the Mammoth cave entrance/exits may have...More

Took our little bub in into the cave - the entry is flat but there's a heap of stairs to get into the back of the cave. We had no dramas carrying our little one in at all. Truly awesome spectacle!

This is the only cave I did, it's very easy to walk into front part of cave, it's a beautiful cave & you don't have to go in very far to see how beautiful it is. It will take as long as you want it to take from 15mins onwards More

No need to pre book. Look in all the booklets and see whether you can get a discount. You can also get a combined ticket with the other caves which works out cheaper if you want to visit more than one site.
