We haven’t visited for well over a year but decided to give it another go.
Ticket prices have gone up (£9 per person) which is to be expected.
I was impressed that they had made improvements to the outside play area & the entrance/cafe but beyond that it was disappointing.
We visited the animals early in the day (about 10am) & the smell was absolutely, eye wateringly vile. Yes it’s a farm but the smell suggested to me that the animals hadn’t been cleared out since at least the day before, if not longer. I couldn’t see any improvements in that area, in fact I’d suggest a decline in conditions.
My son loves soft play so we spent a considerable amount of time in there. It was filthy. The balls in the ball pit are black with grime & in the under 5s section there is a strong smell of urine. It’s very apparent that the soft play never ever gets cleaned. I’m not even sure it gets hoovered. Well put it like this, if it was getting cleaned or hoovered then they’d have noticed that urine smell & done something about it. It’s that bad.
My final bugbear - hardly any shade. They have plenty of seats & a huge play area but absolutely no umbrellas.
It has great potential but whoever is in charge is overlooking the simplest of things.
I would suggest they get a cleaning company in to give that soft play a deep clean for starters.

We arrived around 8:50 expecting to Que till opening at 9:30 however they allowed us to enter the farm early.
Staff very friendly and lots of sanitising stations dotted around.
I wouldn’t want to pay anymore for this farm as there really wasn’t as many animals there as I’d expected. It really is mainly a huge play park which is great for the kids.
Lots of picnic tables dotted around. Not many wearing face coverings and certainly a lot of groups of more than 6 adults. Multiple families grouping together. This isn’t the parks fault though as I noted a lot arrive in their own family group but then join friends already there, the farm simply can’t monitor this.
However one thing to improve upon is the bouncing pillows as you enter the farm. There’s a clear sign to tell parents no playing in the sand around the pillows and 15 people max. This was not being adhered too and at one point I counted over 25 children and it’s just dangerous with parents allowing there little ones to play in the sand around the pillows.
There is a huge sand pit area that can be used for them to play safely, the farm could certainly have someone monitoring this area. It was very busy but my 8 year old daughter enjoyed herself in the park area and liked what animals were there to see.
Not somewhere I’d rush back to but was nice for a change of scene following lockdown.

This is a really fabulous family day out. So much for the children to do in a safe and clean environment. If the kiddies are happy then so are the grown ups. Highly recommended. It’s very reasonable priced too when some days out can be so expensive. The cafe is also lovely with tasty home cooked food, again reasonably priced. My son, my husband and three grandchildren and myself have had a day out with lunch for less than £10 a head. That doesn’t happen very often these days. The children had so much fun!

Most expensive play ground I ever visited. Literally 6 cages of animals (ducks, guineas pigs, sheeps, goats, donkeys and pigs) the rest is play area and a coffee place.
By the way, the Web says tickets are 7 pounds but you cannot purchase them in advance. The reality is that they are 9 pounds.

It’s exspensive to see one barn of animals you cannot touch or feed. It’s not a farm. It’s set on farmish land but it’s not a farm experience. It’s exspensive for play equipment aimed at primary school children.

Would not recommend.
Very expensive (£30 for 2 adults, a 2 year old and a 4 year old). Prices not obvious online so only when we arrived did we learn how expensive it was. Wish we’d turned around then. Small barn of animals you cannot feed or touch. Play equipment tired and worn. Scarecrow hunt for half term was tricky for adults.
Wash brooks needs a revamp.

I love this little family farm, I come often with my almost 2 year old. There is so much to do for her and she has a brilliant time. I love the selection of sweet treats and the nice atmosphere in the reception/cafe area. They have recently inflated the entrance price from 6.50 to 9.50 which of course is a little annoying but I do understand with these trying times and it being nicer weather now. It's a small farm and feels super safe so my little one runs around freely and It's easy to keep an eye on her. Absolutely recommend if you are in the area!

I took my Grandson of 17 months as I had not been since my own children were young.
He had a lovely time on the mini tractors and in the play barn on the slides.
He was too small for a lot of the playground activities like zip wire etc but the smaller playground He enjoyed but was not a fan of the sand on the floor!!!
We stopped for a coffee for Mimi and a snack and the cafe was reasonably priced. They have toys and colouring for the children and plastic cups and cutlery.
We enjoyed our morning, we were lucky as it was not busy, I am not sure how it would be out of term time!! It is expensive for a few hours as my grandson was tired after about 2.5 hours.
Coffee kiosk was closed which was a shame.

We spent an enjoyable few hours here and will come back again. Nothing's cheap anymore and we felt the entrance charge was very reasonable at £9 each. The restaurant food was outstandingly good value and tasty. I can't personally see why there's negative reviews - kids love it here!

We visited here today and were disappointed. We were hoping to show our 1 year old a variety of farm animals, but there were only a few to see.
There were a lot of people and most were not respecting the social distancing rules. It felt very unsafe. There's a large playground which looks like fun but there were soooo many people that we stayed well away.
There are too few toilets for the number of people they let in.
If you're after a big playground with a few animals on the side then this is ideal, but if you're looking for a farm experience then this is not for you.

Hi, is this farm a full day out? We have a 2.5 year old and a baby
Written November 10, 2019
As a family, we spend an entire day here. There's lots for younger and older children to do, including numerous play areas, ride on vehicles, farm animals to see, tractor ride (very affordable but on top of entry fee) and a lovely, well run cafe. As other posters have mentioned, the staff are wonderful and friendly. Unlike some other Sussex attractions, it feels like the staff and the people that run the place make everyone feel welcomed and the prices for entry and food in cafe and shop are kept low. Definitely recommend for a family day out.
