My wife and I spent two hours in the Dlinza Forest Nature Reserve walking on the Nkonka Trail (the longer of the two trails, approx 1.8km) and enjoying the beautiful view above the trees on the aerial boardwalk. One could spend anything from 30 min...More

Dlinza Forest and Nkandla forest are what is left of a formerly huge forest that covered the entire atea between Eshowe and Nkandla. It it very worthwhile to go there to catch a glimpse of how our nature looked like before deforestation to get firewood.

The Dlinza forest aerial boardwalk is situated in the small Zululand town of Eshowe and is well worth a visit, maybe more so for the nature lovers. It is an impressive structure that has been well maintained and your entire walk is above the forest...More

Take the long- or short walk though the forest which will take you at the most an hour... Great views of the indigenous forest and if you wish you can have a picnic (weather permitting). Also the treetop (aerial boardwalk) is breathtaking!

There is not much happening at the Aerial Boardwalk but definitely worth a visit. The wooden boardwalk takes you into the forest and then up some stairs and onto the lookout platform. Here you can see above the trees and be treated to a very...More

A wonderful little natural forest. Very peaceful with a fun 1.5km walk and great views of the treetops from the boardwalk. Great spot for a picnic.

In spite of being right next to the center of Eshowe town, this forest park seems in another world. I spent over an hour just taking photos of ancient trees of varieties I had never seen before. And best of all a blue duiker kept...More
